The father of the bride drove his daughter to the wedding ceremony — on a flatbed wagon, towed behind his tractor.
The invitations were printed on 100-per-cent recycled paper, and all the guests were politely asked to bring their own salt and pepper. Or do as the bride and groom planned to do, and go without.
The reception was a casual outdoor affair — about 165 friends, family and neighbours showed up with boxes and bags of dishes, food, and even tablecloths from their own homes. read more
A company in Harrogate has designed a wedding gown made out of old white curtains. The total cost of the wedding dress was £6.75. The £6.75 dress was designed as an entry for the Yorkshire Brides designer of the year awards, where it narrowly missed winning the eco-recycling category. Of course labour hours werent factored when making the dress. The wedding dress will be auctioned in order to raise money for shelter housing. If you would like to bid email tracy_evans@shelter.org.uk before next wednesday when the official auction starts
